Stephen Penman (AUS)

Stephen Penman is President of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia (YTAA), CEO of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and an associate member of the Australian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA). As such, he is involved in a wide range of yoga, meditation and integrative medicine research and activities.

He has completed a Masters by Research in the School of Health Sciences at RMIT University , examining the practice of Yoga in Australia . He has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning at RMIT.

Stephen is Course Co-ordinator of Wellness, Health Enhancement and Lifestyle Management, a core subject in the new Masters of Wellness at RMIT, and has tutored a similar course at Monash University in the medical undergraduate curriculum.

As a yoga teacher, Stephen trained in the tradition of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (sVYASA) of Bangalore . His style can best be described as contemporary classical with an emphasis on meditation.
