Farida is a qualified Ayurveda Practitioner, a clinical Aromatherapist and Teacher, Bowen Therapy Instructor, a Remedial Therapist and a Reflexologist. She has done her postgraduate studies in Ayurveda (Ayurveda Nishnata) with world renowned Ayurveda Physician Prof Dr P H Kulkarni (Ex Dean Ayurveda University from Pune , India ).
Farida has pioneered Ayurveda Aromatherapy. Through her research and studies she has combined the ancient sciences of Ayurveda with the science of Aromatherapy and has been successful in reviving the use of essential oils in Ayurveda. She has developed her own Rare and Unique Ayurveda Aromatherapy Range Farida is an international speaker/ lecturer and gets invited to several International Conferences within the Natural Therapies and Complementary Medicine Health fields, including International Ayurveda Conferences in India .
She runs a busy clinic and has worked for several years voluntarily with cancer patients, chronic fatigue and stroke patients, giving them the strength to cope with the fears and emotions of the disease, building up their immunity and their subtle spiritual beings.
She is also well known as a consultant for the Spa Industry and has created a range of exclusive signature blends supplying them to Spas globally, her main Spa group being the exclusive Taj Spas of the Indian Hotels Group worldwide.
Farida has authored the book called "The Magic of Ayurveda Aromatherapy"
The Australian government has accredited her course "Diploma in Ayurveda Aromatherapy". This is the first course of its kind.
She conducts workshops and seminars in Ayurveda Aromatherapy world-wide, including several ancient allied body techniques with the Ayurveda Aromatherapy concept, such as Shirodhara, Shiroabhyang (Authentic Indian Head Massage), Padabhyang (Authentic Indian Foot Massage) and many more. She introduced the concept of Indian Padabhyang (Indian foot technique) in the nineties to the Reflexologists together with the Kasa bowl technique.
Awards received:
2004 - "International Ayurveda Saraswati Award" from the Ayurveda Academy , at the International Ayurveda Conference in Pune , India
2006 - " International Ayurveda Dhanuvantari Award" from the Ayurveda Academy in India . This award was presented "for her significant contribution in the field of Ayurveda with special reference to Propagation, Education & Research." She is also the first ever-female recipient of this award.
2006 - the Ayurveda Parangat (Doctor of Ayurveda) by the International Ayurveda Open University at the 8th International Conference in Senigallia / Anconia , Italy
She has established the Original Bowen Technique (founded by Oswald & Elaine Rentsch) in India and has trained a dedicated team of qualified Bowen practitioners in India and Australia . She continues to travel to India training new practitioners and doing her voluntary works using the Bowen Technique.
Inspired by her Ayurveda Guru Prof Dr. P.H. Kulkarni to hold the 26th Ayurveda Conference from Pune , India , Farida organised the very 1st International Ayurveda and Yoga Conference in Sydney , Australia in April 2006, together with her colleagues Dr Shaun Matthews, Dr Rama Prasad and Sevadevi Glover. |
