Prominent International speaker, author, teacher and physician,

Founder of the Institute of Ayurveda and Ayurveda Academy , Pune. His credentials are a mile long, his experience and knowledge goes way back to 1960. He is a well known physician, research guide in Ayurveda and ex-Dean of the University of Pune (Ayurveda Faculty), Director of the Institute of Indian Medicine/Ayurveda Academy, Pune, International Speaker and President of the following organizations:-

The International Ayurveda Association, The European Academy of Ayurveda, Past President of Tilak Ayurveda College and The Ayurveda Rasashala (Research oriented manufacturing Institute) for the past several years and the Rashtriya Shikshan Mandal. This reputed Institute was founded in 1924 and under Professor's leadership has earned a worldwide reputation in Ayurveda and the complementary disciplines of medicine. Professor has given of himself on a voluntary level to these Institutes. He has worked relentlessly to ensure all Ayurveda Doctors and students under his umbrella have a very high standard and a thorough understanding of this profound science.

He has taught and guided many prominent Physicians and Ayurvedic Practitioners all over the world. He is in fact the research guide for several M.D and PhD Doctors and Practitioners in Ayurveda. Several schools in Ayurveda have been established and founded by him in various countries round the world, including Australia , where he is invited and sponsored by Farida and Sheriar Irani of Subtle Energies to educate and lecture at seminars. Professor helped establish the first school of Ayurveda in Adelaide way back in 1986. He has written and edited many books now totalling over 130 and is the recipient of many International awards. He is the chief editor of Deerghayu International magazine, (a research based journal on Ayurveda and other Health sciences) founded in 1984 by him.

The 2006 Inuagural International Ayurveda and Yoga Conference in Sydney , Australia was inspired by Professor and since he had organised 25 International Ayurveda conferences in Pune we aptly called it the 26 th International conference from Pune.

Dr. Kulkarni has dedicated a lifetime to the principles and applications of Ayurveda Philosophy and with his knowledge, experience, compassion, spirituality and healing ability, is a Guru in his field.
